The
polygraph has been used as an effective tool for verifying the
truth and for lie detection over decades. Many countries such
as Canada, USA, South Africa, Japan and the UAE use the Polygraph
for law enforcement testing, and as part of their national security.
Distress
Services can assist you by using the latest techniques and instruments

Fraud
Fraud within an organisation can be extremely costly. We can test
an individual's honesty on nearly any situation where trust is
an issue. For example, consider the following: theft of merchandise
or money, forged documents, missing computer information, transfer
of information to competitors and misuse of company equipment.
Confirmation
of Innocence
During many years of use world wide, the Polygraph has proved
thousands of individuals innocent of crimes they did not commit
and lies they did not tell. We can help you by testing your honesty
in the only way possible, remember our advice is free. Refer to
the case of Joe Steele cleared of murder, following a polygraph
test by Distress Services.
Pre

With over 25% of job applications containing a lie about serious
matters such as previous convictions or drug taking, your company
could be exposing itself to unnecessary risk. The present day
threat of terrorism has also exposed many organisations previously
not at risk to a new and real danger. Please contact us for further
information on how our services can assist you in the recruitment
of personnel and the security of your business.

Sunday
Mail Feb 16th 2003
For
18 years Joe Steele has been in prison for killing six people
in the notorious ice cream wars murders in Glasgow.
In February 2003 the Sunday Mail commissioned Distress Services
to complete a polygraph test on Joe to establish the truth over
his claim that he had no part in starting the fire that ripped
through the Doyle family home.
In
1984 six members of the Doyle family perished after a fire engulfed
their flat in Glasgows Ruchazie. The family were victims
of a turf war over lucrative ice cream van runs through Glasgows
housing schemes. Steele was convicted of the killings, but has
always maintained his innocence.
Bruce Burgess of Distress Service Polygraphs made history by being
the first person to test a Scottish prisoner and conclusively
found him innocent of any involvement in the crime.

Sunday
Mail March 21st 2008
After
18 years in jail for murder Joe Steele was released in March 2008
following the appeal courts decision to overturn his conviction.
Joe was released following a long campaign to prove his innocence.
In
February 2003 he became the first Scottish prisoner to undertake
a polygraph test which conclusively proved his innocence. Distress
Services polygrapher Bruce Burgess who carried out
the test said Joe Steele told the truth when he answered
my questions. The results show there was a terrible miscarriage
of justice.
